Record a moment. Keep the context. Take your data with you. Better Signals helps you record how your mind, emotions, sense of self, relationships, surroundings, and body feel. Answer one short question using five clearly labeled levels. Context, notes, and location are optional. MAKE QUICK OBSERVATIONS Choose from 93 metrics across Self, Physical, Mental, Emotional, Environmental, and Social categories. Search questions and select the metrics you want. Record from the app, a Home Screen widget, or your paired Apple Watch. Finish a shuffled round with two questions per category, or choose three in Settings. App and widgets share round progress on each device. Questions cycle through the pool before repeating; completed rounds pause for 30 minutes, with Record more whenever you want. Each tap saves immediately. Context choices come first; Add a note reveals optional typing. CHECK IN AND NOTICE PATTERNS Take a short category check-in or record across all categories. Home shows today's Signals and your latest answers. History supports search and filters. Trends describe averages and changes, and a map shows Signals recorded with location. When your round is complete, choose Record more to begin again. REFLECT ON A DAY, WEEK, MONTH, OR YEAR Reviews offer quick choices and optional notes hidden until you ask, with your recorded Signals, comparisons, and earlier intentions for context. Save, reopen, and update a review without duplicating it. Choose daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly reminders independently. Notifications arrive at 7 PM when each review opens. Daily reminders are queued for about four weeks and replenished when you open the app. Settings shows upcoming reminders and queue coverage. ADD LOCATION WHEN USEFUL Opt in to attaching location to Signals. You can also enable a prompt when you return to a familiar place. Name, mute, or forget learned places. Location and notifications are optional. EXPORT IN OPEN FORMATS Share CSV, JSON, JSON Lines, or GeoJSON. Choose a date range and whether to include notes and location. JSON also includes reviews. Use Shortcuts for read-only access, or keep an up-to-date copy in the Files app. USE YOUR APPLE WATCH Turn the Digital Crown to select a level and tap Save. Signals recorded offline wait on the Watch and synchronize with your paired iPhone when the connection returns. iPad history stays separate. KEEP YOUR DATA ON YOUR DEVICES No account, advertising, tracking, or developer-operated server. Your Signals stay on your devices unless you choose to export or share them. Map displays use Apple Maps. Better Signals records your observations. It does not diagnose conditions, score your readiness, or recommend treatment. Requires iOS or iPadOS 26. Apple Watch features require watchOS 26 and a paired iPhone.
